Gorilla!

As part of her gift when Eden was born, my good, good friend (and former mission companion) sent Eden a book: Goodnight Gorilla. It quickly became one of her favorites - she even took a bite out of it when she was first getting teeth. This is a video of her reading the book (with daddy's help). She often asks for her "gorla" book.

Ahhh, so glad Eden loves it so much. We can thank some stranger who recommended the book to me over 4 years ago at the elementary school book fair. I heard her say OH that is the funnest book! I was looking for a simple book to read with Sam. Our favorite page is when the lights go out and its black except for eyes. Also the page I think after that. We all scream - There's a GORILLA in my bed!!! Not really conducive to sleepy time quiet reading but so much fun!! So a favorite for us, thus why you received one. :) Books were meant to be loved. The bite out of the book just adds to the loved book!

Reading with your kid is so much fun! She will start memorizing the books and then "read" them back to you. Cadence's favorite books were 'Old Hat, New Hat' and 'Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb' because we patted the rhythm as we read!
