News Flash: She's not PERFECT

Although you wouldn't know it from reading this blog, she really ISN'T perfect. Here is some proof:

But you've got to admit that she is pretty adorable even when she is having a temper tantrum. (I had taken her blanket and put it in her crib, I missed the laying-on-the-floor-kicking part of the tantrum because as soon as it started I had to run for the camera, as any good mother would do!)

Last night was girls' night/craft night and we made tutus. Isn't she cute in hers? If you want to make one let me know and I'll point you in the right direction. Next month's craft project: hair clips, so if you have any great instructions, ideas, patterns, or the like, send them my way.

Tutu looks great...my kids have loved theirs. I love how quickly her tantrums end...what a skill!

Adorable tutu, and even more adorable girl.

I love the tutu. I've been thinking about making one for Makayla. An easy bow is to take 20 inches of (1 inch wide works best)ribbon and cut it into 4 5inch lengths. Tie a knot in the middle of each ribbon and glue the knots on top of each other (rotating each ribbon so that it forms a star). Cute and Easy.

The tutu is very cute. My question is this. Did she start crying because of her blanket or because she can't take the hippo song anymore? I heard it in the background and although its one of my favorites I drive a few in the family crazy when I get it in their heads and it won't get out.

Whoa! She's mad. And Just like 'that' its done. Of course my tantrums stop when I get what I want, too.

Dear blankie stealer, :)
Cecily has MANY bows, clips, snaps, etc. I've made a ton, but my favorites are alligator clips covered with a piece of ribbon (so you can't see the clip). Then I bought fake flowers that were about an inch in diameter, melted the backs down a bit with the tip of my hot glue gun (so they wouldn't stand so high and there was more surface area for glue) and glued the flower to the ribbon. Easy and really cute.

Another idea...for fine toddler hair and Cecily's braids I use snaps. They're like really mini barretts. I got them from www.snapaholics.com.
