Today Eden and I were at the store and of course they place all the candy right at her eye-level. So, she picked up some Mentos, looked at me and said, "sad, sad" and then handed me the candy. I put it back. Then she picked up a chocolate bar and repeated, "sad, sad, grunt" and handed me the candy bar. It was as if she was saying, I'm sad and this will make it all better. Have I really already turned her into an emotional eater? Pllllease!

I've ruined Cadence with sugar. She loves it just like me!!! Thanks for sharing the worry and guilt I feel!
That is so funny! We just LOVE Eden stories. xoxoxoxo
How many times have I tried to distract a fussy child by tempting her with goldfish or fruit snacks?
How many times have I caught myself, wondering if I am teaching her that troubles are solved with food?
Then I realized: If the worst thing I do to mess up my kids is to teach them that snacks are fun, WOW, I'm doing great!
I bet Eden is learning all sorts of important stuff from you and Phil.
That is the funniest story! Thanks for sharing!
