I adjusted my mom's banana bread recipe (which is so good!) so that it is a little more healthy. It tastes great!
1/2 C sugar
1/2 C honey
2 eggs
2 medium (ripe) bananas
1/4 C oil
1/2 C fat free sour cream
1 t almond extract
1 t vanilla
1 C flour
1/2 C whole wheat flour
1 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
Cream sugar, honey, oil, eggs, bananas, sour cream, vanilla, and almond extract.
Add flours and soda and salt.
Mix well.
Pour into greased/floured bread pans.
Bake at 350
50-60 minutes for standard loaf pan
25-30 minutes for mini-loaf pans

I just want you to know--I LOVE FOOD FRIDAY. It's like having my own personal on-line cookbook. (although I do print all the food friday posts out from time to time, so it's a printed cookbook as well.)
Last night I was in the mood for french bread, but not in the mood for loading up her little highness into the carseat and braving the pre-valentines crowds at the grocery store. Then I remembered that you had posted an easy french bread recipe here. A few clicks later, I was on my way. Mmmm Mmmmm Deeee-lish-ous!
This has happened many many times. Fry Bread, Pasta Bake, just to name a few. Oh-and your chicken soup recipe is my go-to compassionate service meal.
Your recipes are easy, tasty, and usually pretty healthy. Best of all, they bring back great memories.
I was expressing some of this to Eric last night over dinner. He said, "Yeah, you're right. Anything I've ever had that Heidi made was really really good."
So, thanks. Happy Valentines Day.
