"Nickel-sized hail possible."
That is what the weather alert told us.

Since Phil was not home for the hail storm, he asked me to put some in the freezer so he could see it. These two were randomly selected from among the hundreds on our deck. (Basically they were the easiest for me to pick up while standing in the doorway.)

Holy cow! Em'r huge!
They weren't wrong... that's why they use the word 'possible'.
I'm sure *some* of the pieces were nickel-sized...
That is amazing!! I'm glad your house didn't blow away and land in OZ. I can't wait to show that picture to my kids.
PS I wish you would have named the title of that post..."What the HAIL!" lol
I hope your cars weren't dented!
I was glad my car was in the garage and Phil was at work - where the storm didn't produce hail. I was out and about today and there was some pretty bad damage in our neighborhood. One tree up the road fell into the roof of the house. Ugh. There were some pretty huge trees down at our community center too. It is crazy when trees go down it pulls them up roots and all. Because the water table is so high the roots don't have to go to deep so they just spread. It is crazy to see.
